This Privacy Policy explains how AIMEE KLAIRE FRENCH LLC, a Montana limited liability company ("Qi Plate," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Qi Plate website and mobile application (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares with us (name, email address, profile image). Passwords are stored only as salted hashes by our authentication provider — we never see your password.
  • Photos you upload. To generate a reading you upload a photo of your tongue and, optionally, your eyes. These photos are transmitted to our analysis service and to our AI provider solely to produce your reading. We do not save your photos in our database or file storage, and they are not retained after the analysis completes.
  • Wellness reading results. Your reading and meal plan are stored locally on your own device (in browser storage) so the app can show them again. They are not uploaded to our servers.
  • Preferences. Your meal-style / cuisine preference is stored in your account and on your device.
  • Subscription and payment information. We store your subscription status, plan, billing period dates, and the identifiers our payment processor assigns to you. Card numbers and bank details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us.
  • Approximate location and weather. If you grant location permission, we use your approximate coordinates once, at the time of a reading, to look up local weather so recommendations can adapt to the season. We do not store your coordinates.
  • Technical information. Our hosting and backend providers process standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps for security and reliability.

2. How we use information

  • To create and maintain your account and keep you signed in.
  • To generate your Qi reading, meal plan, and recipe recommendations.
  • To process subscriptions, free trials, renewals, and cancellations.
  • To respond to support requests you send us.
  • To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use your data to train third-party AI models.

3. Health and wellness information

Qi Plate provides general wellness and educational information inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, we are not a healthcare provider, and we are not a HIPAA-covered entity. Always consult a qualified clinician before making health decisions, and never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read in the app.

4. Service providers we use

  • Lovable Cloud (Supabase) — account authentication, database, and backend hosting.
  • Stripe — subscription checkout, billing, and the customer billing portal. Stripe processes your payment details under its own privacy policy.
  • Google — optional "Sign in with Google" authentication.
  • Lovable AI Gateway (Google Gemini models) — image analysis used to generate your reading.
  • Open-Meteo — weather lookup based on approximate coordinates.
  • Amazon Associates and Whole Foods Market — outbound shopping links. When you tap a shopping link you leave Qi Plate and the destination site's own privacy policy and cookies apply. Qi Plate may earn a commission on qualifying Amazon purchases.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use only strictly necessary cookies and local browser storage — for keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, and completing secure checkout. We do not run advertising pixels or third-party analytics trackers. See our Cookie Policy for details.

6. Data retention

Account and subscription records are kept while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements. Uploaded photos are not retained after analysis. Data stored on your device remains until you clear it or delete your account.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to appeal a decision we make about your request. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and residents of the EEA/UK have rights under the GDPR. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. 8. Account and data deletion

You can delete your Qi Plate account and the personal information associated with it at any time:

  1. Go to Account → Delete account, confirm your identity, and type DELETE.
  2. Your account, profile, meal-style preference, any photos we still hold, saved analysis results, meal plans, and progress records are deleted immediately.
  3. If you have an active subscription, it is canceled automatically as part of the deletion, so you are not billed again.
  4. To remove data held on your device, sign out and clear your browser storage or uninstall the app.
  5. You do not need to email us to delete your account, but if you need help you can still reach support@qiplate.com.

We may retain a minimal record of the transaction (such as invoices) where the law requires it. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

9. Children

Qi Plate is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use encryption in transit, row-level database access controls, and access limited to authorized personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International transfers

Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
